Investigación de herramientas de geolocalización, monitoreo y rastreo de policía turístico en la Zona Colonial - Safe Turi

Abstract

[Español] La República Dominicana es un destino turístico ostentando un gran posicionamiento en el centro del Caribe por poseer de manera constante un excelente clima tropical, hermosas playas y distintas zonas turísticas, las cuales animan a cualquier turista para visitarlas. Debido a tales características, la República Dominicana recibe una gran cantidad de turistas al año, contribuyendo al desarrollo económico del país, pero al recibir una gran cantidad de turistas, también se incrementa el riesgo de delincuencia si no es observado y regulado correctamente. En nuestro país, existe el Centro de Seguridad Turística (CESTUR) el cual está encargado de asistir y prevenir la delincuencia en nuestras hermosas zonas turísticas, una de ellas siendo la Zona Colonial. La Zona Colonial es un centro histórico en donde a través de los años se recibe la visita de una gran cantidad de turistas y por ende la seguridad también puede verse afectada. SafeTuri es la propuesta de una aplicación para celular orientada a la seguridad pública para los turistas y habitantes de la Zona Colonial y tiene por objetivo brindar mayor seguridad a los transeúntes y mejorar el tiempo de respuesta a las emergencias de la zona de cobertura. Es decir, una aplicación con la que se pueda rastrear y ubicar las distintas flotillas y centros de policía turística en la zona colonial. Además de estas facilidades, incluye un botón de emergencia que facilita a las personas que sean testigos de cualquier caso maligno la facilidad de reportarlo a cualquier unidad cercana de manera inmediata. En conjunto con esta aplicación, SafeTuri incluye un sistema administrativo para el registro de las patrullas y centros policiales cercanos, y de igual forma rastrear su ubicación.

[English] The Dominican Republic is a tourist destination that enjoys its great position in the center of the Caribbean, with tropical climates and different tourist areas which any tourist can visit. Due to having such characteristics, the Dominican Republic receives a large number of tourists a year, which allows for greater development in the future, but by receiving a large number of tourists, this increases crime if it is not properly regulated. In our country, there is the Tourist Security Center (CESTUR) which is in charge of assisting and preventing crime in our beautiful tourist areas, one of them being the Colonial Zone. The Colonial Zone is a tourist center where a large number of tourists visit over the years, and therefore, security can also be affected. SafeTuri is an application aimed at public safety for tourists and residents of the Colonial Zone, which aims to provide greater security for passers-by and improve response time to emergencies in the area. In other words, an application with which you can track and locate the different fleets and tourist police centers in the colonial zone. Apart from all this, an emergency button will be included for people who witness any malignant case, and be able to report it to any nearby unit immediately. Along with this application, SafeTuri includes an administrative system with which you can register patrols and centers, and also track where the police are.
