[Español] El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo Determinar el Estado Nutricional De Los Pacientes Del Programa De Hemodiálisis Del Hospital Regional Dr. Marcelino Vélez Santana Periodo Abril-mayo 2025. Se realizó estudio descriptivo, observacional, transversal y prospectivo, no probabilístico de dos meses de evolución, con una muestra de 42 pacientes, se aplicó un cuestionario descriptivo, con la herramienta de evaluación nutricional de la Valoración Global Subjetiva Modificada (VGSM) y se evaluaron las medidas antropométricas utilizando las tablas estandarizadas de Frisancho. Los resultaros evidenciaron un nivel de desnutrición leve en el 97.6% de los pacientes, 42.9% tenían 60 años o más, 61.9% eran de sexo masculino, 35.7% era casado/a, 42.9% tenía un nivel educativo secundario, 64.3% de los pacientes tienen como comorbilidad principal la hipertensión arterial, 50% había perdido 5% de su peso en los últimos 6 meses, 42.9% tuvo antecedentes de dieta sólida insuficiente, 57.1% no presento antecedentes de síntomas gastrointestinales en los últimas 2 semanas, 73.8% no tuvo antecedentes de incapacidad funcional por la deficiencia de ingesta de alimentos que han tenido, 28.6% ha estado sometido a diálisis por un periodo de tiempo menor a 1 año, 28.6% ha estado de 2 a 4 años en hemodiálisis, 33.3% no tuvo pérdida en las reservas disminuidas de grasa o pérdida de grasas subcutánea, 42.9% no tuvo ningún signo de pérdida muscular, por la tabla de Frisancho se determinó un 31% de los pacientes masculino tuvo pérdida de grasa leve y el 11.9% de las femeninas pérdida de grasa severa, mientras que no hubo pérdida muscular 23.8% de las femeninas y en los masculino tuvo signos de pérdida muscular severa en un 21.4%, 83.3% no tuvo ningún signo de edema, 69% de los pacientes estaba en normopeso.
[English] The present study aimed to determine the nutritional status of patients enrolled in the hemodialysis program at the Dr. Marcelino Vélez Santana Regional Hospital during the period April-May 2025. A descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, and prospective, non-probabilistic study was conducted over a two-month period with a sample of 42 patients. A descriptive questionnaire was administered, using the Modified Subjective Global Assessment (MSGA) nutritional assessment tool, and anthropometric measurements were evaluated using Frisancho's standardized tables. The results showed a level of mild malnutrition in 97.6% of patients, 42.9% were 60 years or older, 61.9% were male, 35.7% were married, 42.9% had a secondary education level, 64.3% of patients have high blood pressure as their main comorbidity, 50% had lost 5% of their weight in the last 6 months, 42.9% had a history of insufficient solid diet, 57.1% had no history of gastrointestinal symptoms in the last 2 weeks, 73.8% had no history of functional disability due to the deficiency of food intake they have had, 28.6% have been on dialysis for a period of time less than 1 year, 28.6% have been on hemodialysis for 2 to 4 years, 33.3% had no loss in decreased fat stores or loss of subcutaneous fat, 42.9% had no signs of muscle loss, according to the Frisancho table it was determined that 31% of male patients had mild fat loss and 11.9% of females had severe fat loss, while there was no muscle loss in 23.8% of females and in males there were signs of severe muscle loss in 21.4%, 83.3% had no signs of edema, 69% of patients were in normal weight.
