[Español] Tal como lo define la Organización Mundial del Turismo de las Naciones Unidas, el turismo es una actividad social, cultural y económica en la que las personas se desplazan de un lugar a otro por diferentes motivos. Se entiende por destino turístico un lugar geográfico (país, ciudad o institución) donde las personas acuden a entretenerse, ya sea por motivos de ocio, trabajo o enriquecimiento cultural. Una aplicación se considera un programa de computadora creado para un propósito específico y para realizar una tarea específica. Este tipo de programas surgen desde el momento en que un analista o programador detecta una necesidad y los utiliza para facilitar o permitir el desarrollo de una tarea, tener una aplicación en un dispositivo móvil facilitará que quien la utilice, en algunos lugares para un desarrollo eficiente, proporcione una buena gestión del tiempo, distancia e información. La República Dominicana es uno de los países latinoamericanos más populares en turismo por sus diferentes espacios para excursiones y vacaciones. Estos destinos se enfocan en viajes de sol y playa en la República Dominicana. Por ello, se creó una propuesta de aplicación móvil para Santiago de los Caballeros de la República Dominicana, por lo que como programa piloto la misión ha iniciado en la provincia de Santiago de los Caballeros, considerada por muchos como destino de carnaval. Asimismo, idear una forma rápida y de fácil acceso para dar a conocer otros destinos y atractivos turísticos que están naciendo o creciendo, pudiendo así impulsar el turismo en el resto del país. La economía de Santiago de los Caballeros se centra en la comercialización de productos agrícolas y manufacturados, así como en la producción y el comercio de productos básicos en zonas francas. La ciudad cuenta con sucursales de las principales tiendas, supermercados, restaurantes y entidades financieras de todo el país. El turismo no es solo en República Dominicana, todos los países del mundo tienen sus propias culturas y públicos. Por este motivo, en todo el mundo se desarrollan aplicaciones para promover el turismo en los países.
[English] As defined by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, tourism is a social, cultural and economic activity in which people move from one place to another for different reasons. A tourist destination is understood as a geographical place (country, city or institution) where people come to be entertained, whether for leisure, work or cultural enrichment. An application is considered to be a computer program created for a specific purpose and to perform a specific task. This type of programs arises from the moment an analyst or programmer detects a need and uses them to facilitate or allow the development of a task, having an application on a mobile device will facilitate whoever uses it, in some places for efficient development, providing good management of time, distance and information. The Dominican Republic is one of the most popular Latin American countries in tourism for its different spaces for excursions and vacations. These destinations focus on sun and beach trips in the Dominican Republic. Therefore, a mobile application proposal was created for Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic, so the mission has started as a pilot program in the province of Santiago de los Caballeros, considered by many as a carnival destination. Also, devise a quick and easily accessible way to publicize other destinations and tourist attractions that are being born or growing, thus being able to promote tourism in the rest of the country. The economy of Santiago de los Caballeros is mainly focused on the commercialization of agricultural and manufactured products, as well as the production and trade of basic products in free zones. In the city there are branches of the main stores, supermarkets, restaurants and financial institutions throughout the country. Tourism is not only in the Dominican Republic, but all countries in the world also have their own cultures and audiences. For this reason, apps are developed all over the world to promote tourism in countries.
