[Español] Se efectuó un estudio de tipo descriptivo, prospectivo y de corte transversal, en una muestra de 72 pacientes con el objetivo de determinar los factores de riesgo de evento cerebrovascular isquémico en pacientes de 50-70 años en el Hospital General de la Plaza de la Salud, 2019. Las técnicas para el levantamiento de los datos fueron a través de una ficha, verificándose la información por el sistema LOLCLI y llamadas telefónicas. El factor de riesgo más frecuente fue la hipertensión arterial en un 47.2%. El rango de edad más afectado lo constituyó el de 65-70 años para un 36.1%. Según el género, el sexo masculino fue el más predominante con un 52.8% y el femenino un 47.2%. De acuerdo con la ocupación las dedicadas a quehaceres domésticos constituyeron la mayoría de los casos con un 30.5%. El origen de atención fue mayor en consulta externa con un 75%. La manifestación clínica más frecuente estuvo encabezada por disartria con un 33.9%. En cuanto al antecedente personal de evento cerebrovascular isquémico previo no estuvo presente en el 76.4%. La National Institute of Stroke Scale se realizó de forma incompleta en el 97.2% de los pacientes. En cuanto a las secuelas secundarias al evento cerebrovascular isquémico se presentó en un 50% y la otra mitad no refirió secuelas correspondiendo al 50% restante.
[English] We conducted a descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional, in a sample of 72 patients with the objective of determining the risk factors for ischemic cerebrovascular event in patients aged 50-70 years at the General Hospital of the Plaza de la Salud, 2019. The techniques for collecting the data were through a file, verifying the information by the LOLCLI system and telephone calls. The most frequent risk factor was hypertension in 47.2%. The most affected age range was that of 65-70 years for 36.1%. According to gender, the male sex was the most predominant with 52.8% and the female 47.2%. According to the occupation, those dedicated to housework constituted the majority of the cases with 30.5%. The origin of care was greater in outpatient consultation with 75%. The most frequent clinical manifestation was led by dysarthria with 33.9%. Regarding the personal history of a previous ischemic cerebrovascular event, it was not present in 76.4%. The National Institute of Stroke Scale was incompletely performed in 97.2% of patients. Regarding the sequelae secondary to the ischemic cerebrovascular event, it presented in 50% and the other half did not report sequelae, corresponding to the remaining 50%.
