Resumen
[Español] La presente investigación analiza la brecha existente entre la educación secundaria pública dominicana y las competencias requeridas por el contexto económico contemporáneo, particularmente en relación con la creatividad, la cultura y el emprendimiento. A partir de este diagnóstico, se diseña y valida EduNaranja, un programa educativo complementario dirigido a docentes del segundo ciclo de secundaria, orientado a la integración de contenidos básicos de Economía Naranja dentro del aula, sin modificar el currículo oficial. La investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo de carácter exploratorio descriptivo, utilizando entrevistas, encuestas y un taller piloto como principales técnicas de recolección de datos. Los resultados evidencian la pertinencia y viabilidad del programa como estrategia para fortalecer las competencias creativas y emprendedoras en el ámbito educativo, así como su potencial para mejorar la conexión entre la escuela y las oportunidades económicas reales de los estudiantes. En conclusión, EduNaranja se posiciona como una propuesta innovadora y contextualizada que contribuye al desarrollo educativo y socioeconómico en la República Dominicana.
[English] This study analyzes the gap between Dominican public secondary education and the skills required by the contemporary economic context, particularly with regard to creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship. Based on this assessment, EduNaranja a supplementary educational program designed for upper-secondary school teachers, is developed and validated. The program aims to integrate core Orange Economy content into the classroom without altering the official curriculum. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory descriptive approach, using interviews, surveys, and a pilot workshop as the main data collection techniques. The results demonstrate the relevance and viability of the program as a strategy to strengthen creative and entrepreneurial competencies in the educational sphere, as well as its potential to improve the connection between school and students’ real economic opportunities. In conclusion, EduNaranja stands as an innovative and context-specific initiative that contributes to educational and socioeconomic development in the Dominican Republic.
