  • The February 11th Call of the Women & Science Chair : Inclusion through excellence, not by concession
    (2026) Abanda, A. C. Almouzni-Pettinotti, G. Aragon, S. Darcos, L. Gallagher, I. Guenais, M. Hamdi, A. Jacquemot, C. Jouini, E. Mencía-Ripley, Aída Moreno, E. Rigaud, B. Vérien, D.. Paris: Chaire UNESCO Femmes et Science de l’Université Paris Dauphine-PSL
On the occasion of 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Women and Science UNESCO Chair at Paris Dauphine-PSL University issues this Call for a truly inclusive, and demanding science. Established by the United Nations, this international day reminds us that gender equality in science is not only a matter of justice, but a fundamental condition for the quality, relevance, and legitimacy of scientific research. Despite undeniable progress and increasingly widespread commitments to equality, inequalities in scientific careers remain massive, persistent, and structural. Today, they call for responses commensurate with the evidence produced by research. Through this Call, the UNESCO Chair in Women and Science invites all relevant actors to move beyond declarations of intent and commit to concrete, measurable, and sustainable transformations in scientific institutions.
