dc.description.abstract[Español] Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de la pérdida prematura del primer molar permanente en niños de 7 a 12 años de edad en la clínica odontológica de UNIBE, en el periodo enero-diciembre del 2019. Materiales y Métodos: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, no experimental y transversal, la muestra estuvo conformada por 195 fichas de los pacientes odontopediátricos atendidos en el 2019. Las variables estudiadas fueron sexo, edad y presencia del primer molar permanente. Resultados: Del total de las fichas, 51.28% fueron del sexo femenino y 48.71% fueron del sexo masculino. Reflejando que un 4% perdió el primer molar permanente, prevaleció el sexo femenino 2.56% sobre el masculino con un 1.56%. El primer molar inferior derecho permanente se perdió con más frecuencia con un 2.05%, seguido del molar superior derecho permanente con un 1.53%. Conclusión: Los primeros molares permanentes tuvieron una prevalencia de pérdida de un 4%.-
dc.description.abstract[English] Objective: To determine the prevalence of premature loss of the first permanent molar in children between 7 and 12 years of age at the UNIBE Dental Clinic, in the period January-December 2019. Materials and Methods: a descriptive, non-experimental study was carried out and cross-sectional, the sample consisted of 195 records of pediatric dentistry patients seen in 2019. The variables studied were sex, age and presence of the first permanent molar. Results: Of the total of the files, 51.28% were female and 48.71% were male. Reflecting that 8 (4%) lost the first permanent molar, the female sex prevailed 2.56% over the male with 1.56%. The first lower right permanent molar was lost more frequently with 2.05%, followed by the upper right permanent molar with 1.53%. Conclusion: The first permanent molars had a prevalence of loss of 4%.-
