Resumen
[Español] El presente estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar el impacto del COVID-19 en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del postgrado de odontología de la Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) durante la epidemia de COVID-19. El diseño fue no experimental debido a que las variables no fueron manipuladas ni controladas; constó con una población de 134 estudiantes y docentes y una muestra de 77 participantes, el cuestionario fue validado y evaluado para luego ser enviado de forma digital a los participantes. Resultados: Se determinó que la transición hacia la modalidad virtual fue de forma sencilla. El 100% de la muestra pudo realizar las actividades pautadas, mientras que más de la mitad presentaron problemas con el internet. La mayoría reportaron que los docentes no estaban capacitados en su totalidad y se sentían cómodos en su ambiente para desarrollar las actividades pertinentes. Más de la mitad fueron afectados económicamente, donde la mayoría concluyó que sí se encarecieron un poco los procedimientos odontológicos. La mayor parte de los participantes no tuvieron ningún síntoma sospechoso de COVID-19.
[English] The present study aims to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the teaching and learning process of the postgraduate dentistry program at the Iberoamericana University (UNIBE) during the COVID-19 epidemic. The design was non-experimental because the variables were neither manipulated nor controlled; It consisted of a population of 134 students and teachers and a sample of 77 participants, the questionnaire was validated and evaluated and then sent digitally to the participants. Results: It was determined that the transition to the virtual modality was simple. 100% of the sample was able to carry out the scheduled activities, while more than half had problems with the internet. Most reported that teachers were not fully trained and a felt comfortable in their environment to develop relevant activities. More than half were affected economically, where the majority concluded that dental procedures did become a bit more expensive. Most of the participants did not have any suspicious symptoms of COVID-19.
