[English] Auxiliary periodontal recovery by enamel-derived matrix (EMD) appears as an alternative for the treatment of bone defects. The EMD used in periodontal injuries is accepted as a substitute that promotes and mimics the dental insertion device during its development. Research explains that EMD is mainly composed of proteins, of which 90% are amelogenins. These proteins incite the development of the periodontium during the eruption of the teeth. The best-known accessible brand name with EMD is called EMDOGAIN®, created by Biora (Malmo, Sweden). Objectives: To re-qualify a review of the literature on the effect of EMDOGAIN as a measure for the regenderization of infrased defects, analyzing its use and protocol, describing whether it is effective for the regeneration of different infraosseous defects in the short and long term and establishing its advantages and disadvantages. The information of this study has been obtained from secondary sources such as books, magazines and various scientific articles related to the subject obtained from databases such as; EBSCO, SCIELO, Google Academic that are detected in the body of the work and are cited in the bibliography chapter, without language discrimination, contain articles in Spanish and English. Among the main conclusions are: The procedure used for the application of Emdogain is less difficult to manage and the only one that has a fast effective result, obtaining true periodontal regeneration. Treatment of infraosseous defects with EMD resulting in clinical insertion gain, reduced probing depth, and minimal gingival recession.
