[English] The health sector is one of the sectors that has been most affected by the introduction of technological tools. Technology is one of the most influential tools in the system that governs the health sector. Recognizing this, it is necessary to continue implementing these technological tools in as many areas of the health sector as possible in order to innovate and improve the various areas that this sector possesses. Among these areas are medical records, or clinical records. When a patient enters a health center as a patient, a clinical record is created for that patient, which is then filed under the clinical institution. In the Dominican Republic, these records are stored in a physical manner under documents and folders in the database of the respective institution. This is only consulted at the request of the patient, who is then given a written copy of the file for his or her use. This is a process that since 2013, under the use of technological tools of communication and information, has been innovated to create a digital database that streamlines and facilitates the management of these records. As well as being able to transmit the medical information of patients digitally, in order to streamline the consultation system and improve the quality of service within the medical sector. HealthTrack is a platform that seeks to work as a single electronic medical record system within the Dominican Republic. The objective of the platform is to provide each Dominican citizen with an intuitive platform where they can store their medical information digitally using digitization tools in conjunction with communication and information tools. The implementation of this platform streamlines the medical consultation system because each patient will have his or her personal electronic record that can then be shared with his or her health professional so that he or she can quickly find out about the patient's condition. This platform will also be characterized by having a system for providers and professionals in the area that can be used as a list of patients for and storage of records for the private sector within the health sector, improving the quality of service provided to patients in the Dominican Republic.
